School Blogs

I love that Ms. Rossi, Elise's teacher, keeps a blog and posts pictures of the kids. It feels so important to me since we can't really go into the schools and I've never been to school. It's incredibly important to me to be able to visualize what the classes are doing. I still feel like it takes an incredible amount of faith for me to turn my kids over to a whole set of random people. Nobody will EVER care about their success like I do. That said, I am incredibly grateful for this set of random people who seem to genuinely care about the success of the school and even my individual children. There's plenty that isn't perfect and there is certainly some trial and error going on but in today's world that's what we're all doing. I've even seen something I should've done better and am trying to work on my parenting and leading imperfections to help my kids through those mistakes I made.
Elise has swim PE for the next 3 weeks or so. The logistics of doing this with the two 1st grade classes is pretty rugged. We're hoping tomorrow goes just a little better than the first. The kids were all understandably disappointed when their pool time lasted all of maybe 3 minutes each. I think it was just figuring out who can swim and who can't.

Poor kids spent too much time hearing rules and sitting in the heat in masks with a pool right in front of them! But again, I can only imagine the logistics of making this work!

I know a few of Elise's friends, Ines and Dahlia and Antonio and Ellie and Abdulatif are names I hear a lot.
Saniya and Sophia are sisters that live around the corner and we've been able to do some after school playdates with them. I hope my kids make lasting friendships at school and while we're here in Oman in General. I'm thankful there are also church friends and friends at the embassy. There has been some mild drama which I sure would love to avoid but all in all we're going strong.
