A Little Recovery Time

There was a setback. I still don't really understand but I caught something. An illness. The Wednesday night after this Wadi adventure I became suddenly. VERY. SICK. Fever, exploding head and ears, sore throat, stay in bed for days kind of sick. My family has never seen me sick like that, this. It still hasn't even gone away. I feel mostly pretty fine but my glands or lymph nodes or something under my chin are still swollen. I started some anti-biotics just to see if it's a bacteria I ingested when I jumped off that boulder.  I'm on day 2 and still have swollen lymphs/gland things so I'm really not sure. Anyhoo, that certainly threw me off my game. I'm hesitant to do anything risky until I get this under control. We have still managed to get in a few adventures though.

While I was convalescing, Matt took the kids to see a castle ruin and a souk. He gave them about 3 Riyal to spend and they were hooked. The weather was 98/feels like 120 so it was rough.

Poor Brig is completely soaked!
Elise picked up a box and a camel and Sennia brought home a petite magnetic tea set. They were on the brink of dying of thirst so a stop for "milkshakes" was a must. Mango and strawberry drinks of dreams.

Wrong shoes=Blisters and finally barefoot. What happens when Mom is sick.
