A Divided Saturday
The boys took the car to hike Wadi Tiwi so rather than spend another day in the house we walked to the The Oasis Club owned and run by the American Embassy. They have a pool, playground, restaurant and I actually don't know what else. I've only been to the pool though, this is the temperature in the shade, 112. The girls had a nice time swimming by themselves but I did meet a few parents so hopefully we'll be able to link up with some other families.
Wadi Tiwi is a challenging hike largely because there are giant boulders and tricky climbing sections that the girls would've struggled with. So, Matt took the boys on their own. They had a fabulous time and came back happy and sore with lots of stories and even some beetles. Of course the best pictures will be on the GoPro which I have yet to tame for the purpose of blogging or posting.
We needed a little more to break up our day so we walked to something we hoped would taste a little familiar, Baskin Robbins. The girls were super excited to go pick out flavors. I can't say it was worth it for anything except their enjoyment. Bummer.

The street where we live.
