Al Qurum Beach

Beaches are everywhere in Oman. Beautiful turqoise beaches, cliff beaches, stone beaches, sandy beaches, really, every kind and I have only seen a handful. The kids and I have been wanting to do some paddleboarding and thought this would be a good spot. Matt was supposed to be home from his work trip but was running late so I just loaded up one board and the 3 youngest children and headed out for the 6 minutes drive to Al Qurum beach. The water is fairly shallow, fairly calm due to the shelter from those rocks. It's loaded with shells of all kinds and sizes. I didn't take a lot of pictures because we were too busy having a lovely day.
Elise and I spent a lot of time together alone while Brig and Senn were exploring the rocks on the paddle board.  This was her miniature shell collection. We also went over to see the colorful fish that swim around those rocks, do a bit of climbing and scaring crabs.
Sennia loves paddle boarding as much as Luke and I do but she doesn't love doing anything alone. Brigham would rather find shells than do anything else except cliff jumping I think so he wouldn't stay out very long with her.
Elise loves to go out on the paddle board but refuses to 1)stay on the board and 2)listen to anyone who tells her to stay on the board or get back on the board. Because of this I have never let her go out with the kids and usually make her wear a flotation device. I finally agreed to let Sennia and Elise go out a little way together and they had SO MUCH FUN wiggling the board and falling in.  Our favorite beach trip thus far and We can't wait to go back.
