Party in Snake Canyon Right Fork

This amazing group came together to hike Snake Canyon 1.0. It was one of my favorite adventures. I loved the different dynamics of each person. I loved that so many tried this which was way out of their comfort zone! I loved getting to know them all better. Top picture was starting out, The picture below was at the end, or nearly at the end.

My pictures are all a little wonky. The canyon was narrow and the sun just didn't really make it down so the lighting was low and the waterproof camera doesn't do well with low lighting. Also, for much of this hike we were freezing cold and I was shivering so it's a little jiggly and maybe water on the lense.
There were several slides like this that were fun or maybe a little rough.
Matt went down first to see if it was deep enough to jump for everyone. It was really deep so after he saw everyone safely down, he climbed back up to jump from the higher rock.

I think some of the members of our group had never done a cliff jump before! So many brave friends.
There's something wonderful about having tricky maneuvers when everyone lends a hand and looks out for each other and then cheers friends on when they conquer the hard thing. No matter how long it takes, it just makes it that much better because you feel so good when you cheer other peopll

The rock in this canyon was beautifully carved by centuries of flash flooding. We're looking forward to going back and taking our kids.
