And just like that it's Christmas time. The joy in all the decor we've collected over the years is intense. I can't bare the thought of taking it all down! The house will feel so bare. We had a big predicament in the tree situation. We had originally thought we would be able to just get something local that would work buuuuuuut that's not possible. We brought our most important Christmas things and are so glad to see them.While we were in Salalah, or on our way there from Duqum actually, we pulled off the road to go take a beach break. I made sandwiches while everyone else took a beach break. But we did see some dolphins, it's dolphin season. In that short time we were there-maybe 25 minutes, a truck pull ed up and sold Matt these 3 woven/camel skin baskets. We opted to use them for Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. I love how authentic they are under the tree.All this room but not a spot to hang a sock. Haha. I was really disappointed about the stocking situation. So, I looked at my resources and put this together. I got some help from a friend to print off the letters and then MAtt and I shopped at the Souk together and picked out these perfect hooks. I posted about it on the Trailing Houses Facebook group-they have had threads about creative uses for shipping containers so I showed them. My favorite little Nativity. That Eli made me a long long time ago for Christmas.
We're also in the season of Christmas Parties. We have been to a few and had a lovely time. This is the Oman Branch White Elephant Gift Exchange. it was lots of fun!

Embassy Concert featuring Muscat Brass and Muscat Singers. Ward Party. Kids are waiting for their chance to be part of the nativity. Samuel and Brigham's table scored an impressive number of points and won the Christmas Trivia game. I have several videos but I'm not sure I can upload them!
