Mugsayl and Fazaya Beaches, Frankincense Trees and the Empty Quarter to Home
Camel Caravans for days. They're everywhere.
All those times I conspired to live on a beautiful deserted island have come true. We had Fazaya Beach all to ourselves. We did have to change locations to the next beach down because there was strangely an overweight older man in the nude standing in the surf being photographed by his equally older wife. ??? NOT something I expected to see in Oman. Haha. Sennia "I don't think he's naked I see something lighter colored where his shorts would be." Ya, definitely not getting out there. Those days when everyone plays nicely together and you get some good surf in and find lots of beetles and find lots of shells and are perfectly content for hours. Ya, that was today. It's not every day, it's not every beach trip but it was today.
Beautiful not so little girl.
Sweet 12 year old boy trying to navigate his lot in life. It's not easy on anyone. The beach was COVERED in tiny turtle tracks. Not sure it could get any cuter.
Samuel actually did join us in the water a couple of times but he mostly hung out in the brush with the camels looking for beetles.
And other things.
This is the Mugsayl Blowhole(s). Since it's not Khariff they weren't going crazy but the erupted every now and again and the kids thought it was pretty cool.It kind of sounds like a monster is under the ground growling and ranting.
This is our last stop before the long drive home. Matt wanted some more fruit from the fruit stand. He also got coconuts to drink. He is the only one who loves fresh coconut but I did drink it knowing I needed the hydration and good stuff. Sennia did a pretty good job drinking some as well.
We also stopped by the Frankincense nursery? Farm? Not sure how to refer to that but I was excited to see it. It really doesn't look like much. Carefully protected shrubby trees. They don't smell unless you actually get some sap. Then you can definitely smell the Frankincense. We left with some.
Frankincense Flowers. Stecher Flowers.💖
Then there's this. This for 10 hrs.
