After the Storm

 My family are convinced that we brought the rain to Oman. It's amazing how much it has rained here since we arrived. They hadn't had rain for a year or two and since we've been here they've had a lot. I should research the actual amount but it's rained 4-5 times, very hard and then there was also the Cyclone. It floods right away when it rains. Cars flooded, streets full of mud at the bottoms of the mountains. I need to get a photo of how green the mountains are right now. It's incredible how the seeds just wait for water.

From my leaking bedroom windows you see the rain masking the ocean in the distance. All the weather we get puts barriers between us and the ocean.

Our favorite Sidab hike after the rains, too rough for swimming or snorkeling and yet every bit as fascinating.
