Recovery

The week after Christmas was kind of stressful. We were tired, still trying to be healthy, we had hope that were hard to fulfill.  Eli certainly wanted to do somethings before he went home but weren't sure if we should. Matt took a COVID test and got a negative. Still, everyone was coughing so remote beaches were really the only option. Matt went to work this day and go this gift from the Royal Office.
The kids found a secret drawer in the box that Matt hadn't seen. He also brought home a really sweet gift from the Christens. We miss them so much.

While Matt was gone I needed to get out and do something. The kids and I tried to find a playground with no one but when that didn't work out we went to a remotish beach. It was a win. We've not seen the tide so low at this particular beach. We could walk out and see numberless tide pools with all their treasures.
I love finding new things. This is the first Pagoo we've seen. He must've just molted and hadn't found his new shell yet.
Tiny Shrimp or some other shellfish.
These Brittle Stars were everywhere.

It was just what we needed. The girls would've enjoyed swimming but we didn't dress for it and it was all good with the low tide. What a beautiful world we have.
