What a Beautiful Life
One thing about teaching Seminary is I get to know these kids pretty well. I'm so thankful Samuel has them for friends. They go climbing with him when it's not their thing. They're interesting and talented people.
She's finally ready to learn. She's doing pretty well but I need to ride this wave! I wish I were more consistent with these littles and their music. I will keep trying to do better.
I love that Virginia does cute little things for the girls sometimes. She really keeps our house tidy and it feels like a miracle. So much less nagging going on.
Samuel had an amazing opportunity to go on a finding trip with an Entomologist visiting from Germany and the foremost Omani Authority on Insects. I've never seen him so happy as when I picked him up at the end of the day. These men were impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. They both will keep in touch and support him in his vocation. He is even helping our new Omani friend with a project he's working on.
It took a lot of courage and faith for me to send my boy off in a car with two guys I'd only just met. I was incredibly nervous for about 2 hrs. But the reports I received about how our German friend would spot flowers and pull off to the side of the road to investigate(he's a wasp specialist) calmed my heart. Clearly these 3 are cut from the same cloth. Samuel constantly suggests we pull off the road and hangout in the middle of nowhere. He had the time of his life. Our German friend came for vacation-searching Oman for insects was his week off of choice.
For pi day this year the kids and I made hand pies. Lemon curd/cream cheese and some blueberry. They were AMAZING and we had such a nice time together.

Brigham went Karting for the first time and loved it. He went with some friends from the Embassy. It was kind of expensive, Matt was out of town in Bahrain, and I had to get Sennia to her rehearsals so he went on his own and had a fabulous time.
I loved coming home from picking Samuel up to find Alena and Elise painting together. Things this peaceful don't happen every day at our house so I appreciate when they do. Elise is such a bridge for our family.I love that Virginia does cute little things for the girls sometimes. She really keeps our house tidy and it feels like a miracle. So much less nagging going on.
