We had the privilege of visiting with my friend Mirasol and meeting her husband Dr. Eugene Johnson. Dr. Johnson is a veterinarian by vocation who did a lot of virology research, especially on primates back in the 70's ad 80's. He came to Oman on Sabbatical and has been here ever since. We came to visit with him and to hear about his artistic work. He's an incredible photographer and the portraits he takes come with the stories of the lives of the people. His recently published book 'Unspoken Dialogues' is a bridge of Oman over the transition from 50 years ago to now and gives stories of those who have known Oman through its transition into Modern life.
I could've listened to their stories for days. He's one of the rare people in this world who only sleep 4 hrs and use every minute of their other 20 hrs immersed in productivity.
