Another Hike, Another Wadi, and Kittens-again

It rained in Muscat! Nothing too bad but definitely some nice moisture. We decided to do a little hike in Muttrah that would be wet. Friends joined us. Unfortunately Elise has been sleeping in a lot and she wasn't ready to get up. She said she wanted to go but that didn't last long once we started the ascent. i knew if she could make it up and also get to water and go to the bathroom she would be fine. It was rough going but she did it.
These two hiked Hower with us last weekend and when they heard we were doing this one they got a little worried since they weren't fully prepared for what we did then. Luckily it was a simple hike and only a little wet.

EVERYONE was pleasantly surprised when I told them I knew a way through so we didn't have to hike out as well. Honestly it would've been almost as easy but also kinda fun to do it this way.

Happy girl had a good time in spite of it all, especially since I packed cookies.

We had the most lovely dinner saying good-bye to our friends the Mut-Tracy's who we just didn't get to know well-enough. This is the only picture I have to show for it, a clever way to make fire extinguishers not stick out like sore thumbs on the way to the washroom at the waterfront.

Next day Matt took the boys to hike Wadi Arbaeen while I cleaned at packed all day. They took about the exactly the time I predicted they would to hike to the waterfall-6hrs.

Our garden must feel like a safe space. Exactly a year after the first Mama came and had babies in our yard, here's one of hers with babies that showed up in our yard. They're just precious, until they start climbing up into our car that is.
