Split to Pula
Before I embark on our embarcation, I will mention that I tried to buy Birkenstocks while Matt bought pastries for everyone. I got the best end of that since apparently he bought pastries for everyone else and a not so worthy bakery and then popped into another one for apple strudel for he and I and they were definitely delish. I moved to the back seat of the van for this portion of our journey, well not the back back, but the front bench. The passenger front seat was absolutely the WORST seat ever. I turned co-pilot responsibilities over to Brig. It always makes such a difference in everyone's attitude when Mom is engaged and involved. Also, I offered $30 to the kids who finish their summer math books. They got busy and spent hours doing their math. Before we got started on that though, we stopped here at a fortress. The entrance to the city from pre-medieval times.
