The Aquarium, the rest of Dubrovnik, a cold beach evening and a Gorgeous Sunset
After a couple of days of just walking we decided something geared more to the little girls might be in order so we stopped in the tiny aquarium. This sea horse sculpture made from recycled car parts was really fun.
Not all signs in Croatia have English translation so it's been much harder to find information here than anywhere I've been before. I just looked it up though, the two spices displayed in this case are Cardamom and Gallae or Allspice.
There was also a monastery associated with this pharmacy.
We went home and changed after this and we went to the beach. The weather got a little windy, water here is always chilly, but this looked like a lot of fun. The older of us weren't really interested in chilly water but the littles came in swim clothes. Matt thought they would love this and bought them admission. Elise was gung-ho but didn't want to go by herself. Sennia was tempted but really wanted someone older. Brigham felt the same except maybe a little less interested and wouldn't commit. We did finally get them all out there but it was actually a lot for Elise. She did it but I was so nervous the entire time. I finally told Matt to get me a pass and I would go out there. I just couldn't stand worrying about her. Eli ended up going. They had a nice time.
We've started a new family game-rock stacking. Haha. I showed everyone a video of the Korean man who can balance everything and I think they felt challenged. Now every time we're in a rocky place they play this game.
An hour later they were done-cold-tired-hungry-happy.
I beat him every time.
Matt got a little whimped out when he lost too many times. He's adding a baby rock.
This sunset was so beautiful and the beach had someone dancing and playing Hallelujah. It was a moment to remember.
We stopped at the store for tomorrow's food and had a moonlit walk up more stairs.
Snail.
We also went to the oldest Pharmacy in the world. An interesting combination of potions and herbalist knowledge. Not all signs in Croatia have English translation so it's been much harder to find information here than anywhere I've been before. Samuel is the king of balancing.
