La Traviata with Luciano Pavaratti

We LOVED our Opera Night with the Cobos family. Many things didn't go as planned but still we ended up with some amazing seat by the 2nd act and the show was incredible.

Meet the Poulsons

We've had several new families move in, both to the Embassy and church! The Poulsons are an instant fit. They have a missionary, a BYU Freshman, and kids Brigham's age. They also love to adventure and are a lot of fun! We did some snorkeling, some paddle boarding, beach combing and tried to rescue a dead turtle that looked like it had recently died in a fishing net. We took them to Bimah Sinkhole and White Sands Beach. She wanted to jump but yet, she didn't. It's always a guessing game for her courage.

Wadi BC

Samuel led me and two friends on a scramble up into a very dynamic Wadi. He had gone here before with friends and we appreciated his experience. I don't know if they quite knew what they were getting into but after we finished and no one had rolled an ankle I think everyone had a great experience. You just can't help feeling like you're in a giant's playground. These 50 ton boulders just tell a story of where water has been and the power that smoothed and carved out these caverns and crack. It's rather humbling actually. Omanosaura, jayakari were active here.  The wadi ended for us at a cave complete with bats. It's quite a scramble to ascend up it and Samuel was the only one to do it but I'm actually wanting to go back and try again, maybe when it's a little cooler. We love Sam's extra watchful eyes pointing out what we never would've noticed. Spotting Samuel after he came down from the cave. I'm always amazed at Trees that grow to this size...

Never Have I Ever. . .

Never have I ever ridden a school bus. My kids have been able to win at this game for their entire lives, but no more because we are slowly checking off the entire file of public school experiences that they've been able to avoid. This week we experienced two. The infamous school bus. Now, granted, they have a private bus that we fill between our 4 and the Bosse party of 5, no more than 10 kids per bus. It comes to our door and accompanies the younger kids to their classrooms. It is unfortunately loud and very bumpy but it bought me around 6-9 hrs this week. MIRACULOUS. The school is close but you have to go early, then sit and wait and the traffic is so bad that it takes 45 minutes of waiting to pick them up and sometimes 10 or 15 dropping them off and that doesn't include driving time! Villa 1483 wheels up! And. . .our first crazy hair day. Fun for kids crazy pills for parents. This was my best attempt in 15 minutes for unicorn  hair. They were happy, so I'm happy.
