La Traviata with Luciano Pavaratti

We LOVED our Opera Night with the Cobos family. Many things didn't go as planned but still we ended up with some amazing seat by the 2nd act and the show was incredible.

Never Have I Ever. . .

Never have I ever ridden a school bus. My kids have been able to win at this game for their entire lives, but no more because we are slowly checking off the entire file of public school experiences that they've been able to avoid. This week we experienced two. The infamous school bus. Now, granted, they have a private bus that we fill between our 4 and the Bosse party of 5, no more than 10 kids per bus. It comes to our door and accompanies the younger kids to their classrooms. It is unfortunately loud and very bumpy but it bought me around 6-9 hrs this week. MIRACULOUS. The school is close but you have to go early, then sit and wait and the traffic is so bad that it takes 45 minutes of waiting to pick them up and sometimes 10 or 15 dropping them off and that doesn't include driving time! Villa 1483 wheels up! And. . .our first crazy hair day. Fun for kids crazy pills for parents. This was my best attempt in 15 minutes for unicorn  hair. They were happy, so I'm happy.

Night at the Beach

This little love is my constant companion. I'm a lucky Mom to have such adventure loving children. There in the background you can see the Spikeball games going on. We wanted to do a little paddle boarding but the tide was in and the waves went really far out. Maybe next time. All the green in this area boggles my mind. I'm amazed at what a little rain can bring into the landscape here.   Goodnight Sun.

Al Qurum Beach was Crawling

  For Eli's last night in Oman, we went to the beach with paddle boards and friends. I didn't take pictures unfortunately, but I did take these videos of the shells in the tide pools. The tide was insanely low! I thought it was low last time but this was considerably lower. There was a whole sand bar and no water where we'd paddle boarded to see the fish before.  We had fun with Elijah and Keilah Ware. They boys especially enjoyed themselves. They went walking through the sand into the inlet area with the Mangroves and things. We had a cake for Eli. The little girls spent a lot of time out on the paddle board knocking each other off. We stayed until it was completely dark.  Eli was off that next morning to University adventures. Hopefully all good!
